When it comes to smartphones, the debate is always between two kinds, Android and iOS. While both of them have their own sets of perks and flaws, it is only natural for one to emerge as the victor.
If I were to tell you my opinion, I would say that I prefer having an Android phone over an iPhone. Yeah, I know what they say “An iPhone is an iPhone” and stuff like that, but at the end of the day, it’s an Android that really speaks to me.
This brings us here: I highlight 5 ways that I think Android holds superiority over an iPhone., Who knows, maybe by the end of this article, you’ll be convinced that you need an Android smartphone!

You Can Customize an Android
The most important thing about an Android that had me absolutely sold was the ease of customization. This is something that you can’t get with an iPhone no matter how much you try.
Even if you look at phones such as Samsung and OnePlus, they have customized their own versions of Android to create the One UI for Samsung and the ColorOS for OnePlus. All of that was made possible because Android is an open-source software; you get to tweak the code and design the user interface as you like. This is something that cannot be done on an iOS device.
You Have More Control Over Your Apps through an Android
When you go into your “App Settings” on an Android device, you find a lot of settings that you can change at your own convenience. You may even change the settings for apps running in the background so that you can keep your battery consumption in check.
Similarly, there are also other intricate settings that you can tweak into to make the best out of your Android experience. One cool thing that I noticed in my Android smartphone was the split-screen feature; as the name suggests, the screen is virtually split into two and you can use two different apps on your phone. I thought this was pretty cool.
Android Takes the Cake for Mobile Gaming
I remember going through a phase when I would spend hours playing Call of Duty Mobile with my friends. All I needed was an internet connection that was best for gaming, so I opted for Xfinity since the Xfinity internet speed is enough for me to play as seamlessly as possible.
Other than my internet connection, I also needed a phone that was best suited for mobile gaming for long stretches of time. That is where I saw that an Android phone has better endurance than an iPhone.
Not only that, but I also saw that I can push the limits of my mobile gaming when I ran all the games in the highest resolution on my Android and it barely had any effect on the performance of the phone. My phone didn’t lag at all! Different Designs of Smartphones to Choose From
You must have noticed that Apple, more or less, has the same design with all of its phones. It has 3 variants, which are the base, Pro, and Pro Max variant where they only change the size of the phone or add a camera.
However, that isn’t the case with an Android phone. There are a lot of smartphone companies out there that run on Android software but give you different designs on their smartphones. For instance, Samsung and OnePlus are bringing back foldable phones, Samsung also introduced a flip phone and other smartphone companies like Nothing allow you to see what’s inside your phone because of its transparent design.
Not only that, there are a lot of vibrant colors that you can choose between. Some phones come in a metallic finish while some have a glossy one. At the end of the day, it depends on what you prefer and what would look amazing in your hand!
Bonus Tip: An Android is Easier on Your Budget
Despite offering lesser specs, you’ll notice how an iPhone always comes with a hefty price tag. That is because an iPhone has become more of a statement and many people prefer to buy it because well, nearly everyone has one.
However, with an Android smartphone, even if you get a 512GB or 1TB variant of a phone with nearly 16GB, it’ll still cost significantly less than what an iPhone does! So, if you want greater performance, that too at a price that won’t make you nearly broke, then an Android phone is the way to go.
At the end of the day, the ball is in your court. It is up to you whether you want to go for an iPhone or an Android. Just be sure to make an “educated wish” like Deadpool does and who knows, you might naturally get the phone that’s best suited to your needs!
